According to Brendan Nelson's budget reply, which I actually listened to while stuck in gridlock tonight, I am "a window into the humanity of us all".
I being someone who draws a carer's payment from Centrelink for helping out a disabled partner.
So there you go. You wanna see how much humanity you have? Look into my "window".

May is turning into a crazy, crazy month. Last week I spent three days learning how to do lithography, at the amazing London Print Studio.
Here's a glimpse of one of our prints, in progress!

( Look behind the cut for more )
Among the fabulous ladies I met during the class were Erika, a recent Kingston grad in children's illustration, and Shirley, a member of the LPS's prestigious volunteer program, who's into "altered books". Check 'em out! (Thanks to Erika for all the photos!)
Hats off to our intrepid instructor, Yuen Ling Chiu, for doing her best to explain a process that really defies explaining. It is just...magical. And mysterious. And not a little backbreaking. But the results are unique...I am a litho convert!
In comics news, I am going to take a quick break from posting Undertow for just a little while...I have some new projects on the boil that need time to develop, AND - to add to the crazy - I am jetting off to New York next week for some family time and a much-anticipated Brooklyn wedding. Also, I have some changes I want to make to the next few pages in line for posting...but come June, Undertow will be back and quantifiably better than ever!

Isn't." -peta and tim

italiansushi says: "If there is someone that you miss dearly, for any reason, post this exact sentence in your journal."
yirimyah says: "If there's anyone you miss dearly, for any reason, stop whining about it on livejournal and fucking call them, you basement-dwelling faggot."
i've used the phrase "stretchy stretchy spandex" 3 times already this week.
and oh my god, my mother has started using the word "$$$BLING" without a trace of irony. :O

Poor Hillary. She scores her first big win since Ohio and Texas, and before all the confetti has even settled to the floor, this happens.
She needs to admit the fact that for now she can't do it and see if she can't get herself the #2 spot on the ticket. I hope she does. An Obama/Clinton ticket appeals to me more than an Obama/Edwards duo.

Sunday we were at the first event of Grazia Ribaudo, our classmate in painting school.
Well she is really more forward on her road, but it was cool!!!

Texted Mum to see how Grandad's surgery went. She said it went well, but she's not sure yet if part or all of the growth has been removed. He will return to the rest home tomorrow.
