Yeah, I think the lighting works well on this piece, it took me forever to get it to that state.

Thanks man!

Really great!
I like how the light illuminates through the canopy over the window. This whole picture has a lot of really interesting things about it, I love all the suggestive narrative.

That was one of the only stipulations for the commission, it had to be weird and full of suggestive narrative. I'm glad you find it interesting, so far this has been one of my favorite watercolors.

Your details and coloring is amazing. I can't believe these are just commissions. They look like pages right out Heavy Metal - back when it rocked.

Aw man!! Don't even get me started on just how awesome Heavy Metal was when they had Tardi, Moebius, and Corben doing stuff.....GOD those guys are sooo good.

Maybe one of these days I'll be able to not cry when I look at Moebius's work.

Hahah! Thanks, I try to make an effort to really make something interesting to look at.....I'm just happy that it seems to be working lately.

Cheers!

Yes, although your artwork is spectacularly nostalgic, it's characters that do it. Very few of your characters seem to be part of the background, instead, most of them seem to hold a story of their own, where they are going, what they are thinking. Now THAT is art.

Wow. Thanks!

I try to make distinctive things in my comics and illustrations, I love to draw faces and heads---hopefully this leads to a more diverse population that inhabits my "worlds". I'm glad that shows through in the final product.

my favorite part was the pointing guy in the window, until i saw the creeps sneaking out the side door. this should be part of a children's book. it's stimulating my post-weekend beer soaked brain damage.

Hey thanks Max, I like drawing the little creepy details best! Sorry to hear about the brain damage, that happens to me every now and then too-- sadly.

Your latest posts have got me drawing in my sketchbook again!!
